The advent of Christ in the heart of man

Every year, many of us, in fact millions, celebrate Christmas with family and friends. There are festivities, carols, gift giving, and a lot of merry-making. And rightly it should be so, for Christmas is truly a special time of year. Christmas is a time to remember that we too can live the miracle of the Nativity in us.

As Sivananda says: “Christmas is a state of spiritual awakening. To realize the Kingdom of Heaven within yourself, to hold communion with the Lord in the chambers of your heart, to regain your lost divinity, to attain Christ-consciousness or cosmic consciousness, to love all, to include all in the warm embrace of your love is real Christmas.”

And as Master Samael says: “The advent of Christ in the heart of man is a fact that transforms us radically. Christ is the solar logos, perfect multiple unity. Christ is the life that palpitates in the entire universe; he is what has always been, what will always be.”

So let’s celebrate and prepare the way.

The Prayer of Thanksgiving

We give thanks to You!

Every soul and heart is lifted up to You,

undisturbed name,

honored with the name ‘God’

and praised with the name 'Father',

for to everyone and everything

(comes) the fatherly kindness

and affection and love, and any teaching

there may be that is sweet and plain,

giving us mind, speech, (and) knowledge {GNOSIS}:

mind, so that we may understand You,

speech, so that we may expound You,

GNOSIS, so that we may know You.

We rejoice, having been illuminated by Your knowledge.

We rejoice because You have shown us Yourself.

We rejoice because while we were in (the) body, You have made us divine through Your GNOSIS knowledge.

The thanksgiving of the man who attains to You

is one thing: that we know You.

We have known You, intellectual light.

Life of life, we have known You.

Womb of every creature, we have known You.

Womb pregnant with the nature of the Father,

we have known You.

Eternal permanence of the begetting Father,

thus have we worshiped Your goodness.

There is one petition that we ask:

we would be preserved in GNOSIS.

And there is one protection that we desire:

that we not stumble in this kind of life.

Once every year we offer an in-depth course in Gnostic Esotericism; we call this course the First Chamber; which runs in two phases, the first phase being open to the general public –currently offered on Tuesdays 7-9 PM,– the second phase being open only to those who have completed the first phase.
This course introduces the esoteric principles needed by every aspirant of the Light, regardless of race, creed, sex or financial means. Each class includes a lecture, a meditation practice and additional exercises to help the student apply the timeless teachings of Gnosis to his/her life so as to experience first hand the presence and compassion of the Divinity that lies within.

Meditation is like love, everyone can experience it, and like love, it exists, within us, since the beginning of time. However, nowadays, meditation is needed more that ever. Current lifestyles demand so much of the individual, dividing their concentration, that developing a sharp-acute mind is a tremendous urgency.

Additionally, meditation helps to progressively eliminate the sources of discontent and depression, because anger, pride, vanity, self-importance, frustration-all of that- dissipates before the meditator who learns to stand outside their sphere of influence, with the helpful hand of concentration.

For Gnostics, meditation is for a journey within, meditation brings alertness in our actions, and is the key to living in the present, the best way to live!
