FAQ

What do the gnostic teachings consist of?

The Gnostic teachings consist of a wide variety of esoteric disciplines, all of which are presented in a very practical manner. The classes are not just theoretical; practices are given so that what is being learned can be verified, which is the only way one can truly attain Gnosis.

What is the format of the classes offered at the Albany Gnosis Center?
In each class, there will be a talk and a practice. Practices range from introductory techniques for relaxation and meditation, to keys that can be applied in daily life. No previous experience is needed. Weekly classes serves as a foundation to further develop the science and ethics of meditation in a more in depth manner.

What kind of commitment do the Gnosis classes require?
Anyone is welcome to attend one, several or all of the open classes.

Also there is a weekly course of 33 lessons that go deeper into the Gnostic teachings in itself.  For this course, being that the classes and practices build on each other, thus consistent weekly attendance is necessary in order to continue and take full advantage of the program. Nonetheless, if at any point in time, you decide you do not want to continue with the classes, you are free to do so with no further obligations.

Is there any cost involved?
Not really, the Albany Gnosis Center offers classes free of charge; and even though a per class donation is suggested, the inability to do so does not prevent anyone from attending the courses.
Obviously, there are costs involved in maintaining the facility, therefore all donations are welcome and greatly appreciated for they help keep these teachings available to all.
The Gnostic goal is the happiness of all human beings without distinction, the aim of all centers is to share Gnosis with anyone who is interested, regardless of race, sex, religious background, occupations, etc.
