Who is Samael Aun Weor

Samael Aun Weor is a Master who has made available in this time and days the ancient secret for the Self-Realization of one’s own inner Being.

Born in Colombia on March 6, 1917, from early age became interested in the transcendental aspects of life, searching within the various metaphysical schools that existed then, for the answers to the eternal questions of Who am I? What is the meaning of life? Why am I here?

In 1946, he meets and marries his lifelong companion, the V.M. Litelantes; and in 1947 receives the advent of the fire. By 1948, a small group of disciples gathered in what has been known as the Summun Supremun Sanctuarium of the Sierra Nevada of Santa Marta, Colombia, begins to surround the Master. In 1950 he publishes The Perfect Matrimony, and in a natural yet impressive manner, all these conditions become the seed of the Contemporary Gnostic Movement, which within a short time acquires an international character and spreads throughout the 5 continents, carrying the teachings of the Awakening of the Consciousness and the Self Realization of the Being to all latitudes.
“It is in this context the Master writes his first books to disseminate a wisdom that is as old as life: the knowledge of oneself. He first verifies his knowledge through Psychoanalytical Anthropology and profound meditation.”
After some years in the Sierra Nevada of Santa Marta, at the end of 1954, once the esoteric process of the Incarnation of his Dhyany Buddha is completed, he travels  in a difficult journey through Panama, Costa Rica, Nicaragua, Honduras, El Salvador, Guatemala… and all of Central America, to arrive to Mexico; the country that will become his home for the rest of his days. There he will finish the Great Work.
One after another he writes the books that will serve as a guide to the Gnostic Movement. He gives lectures, organizes symposiums, and he is invited to congresses, radio and TV interviews, etc., and directs a movement that begins to spread into the United States and Canada, and that in 1975 will arrive in Spain, and through Spain to all of Europe, Africa, Asia and Oceania.
He wrote over seventy books, but the number, although extensive, is not what matters most. What is transcendental for the true seeker is to know that in his works he left the map of the Initiatic Path.
The way in which the works of the V.M. Samael Aun Weor were written differs in content and form from the majority of the contemporary authors of pseudo-occultism or pseudo-esotericism, and is only comparable to those great Masters of humanity, who passing through some stage of the Initiatic path, were moved by divine inspiration, leaving as a testimony the great classics of art, science, philosophy and transcendental religion.”
[He] wrote his works with ‘fiery coals’ and we must know how to understand this simile; this is that each “Christmas Message” given to humanity through the Gnostic community, is the result of a fohatic process lived in the depths of his soul. For that reason each written work is part of his esoteric diary; lived experiences of the consciousness in the diverse dimensions of nature and of the cosmos.”
After the Self-Realization of his Being, Samael Aun Weor abandons, definitively, his physical body on December 24, 1977 in Mexico City. From then on he continues guiding the Gnostic movement from the superior dimensions of nature.
“Throughout the XXth century the evolution of spiritual phenomenon has seen, with unusual impulse, the birth of a series of groups or societies whose doctrinal foundations are based in the life and works of the most outstanding esoterist of the second half of the XXth century, the Venerable Master Samael Aun Weor, whose teachings are the heart of these studies.
A wise Master said: if the force of a man impresses you, search for what gave him that force and you too will be able to experience it.“
